Developing Players to Excel & Create Passion for the Game
MTsc Premier Development Program (PDP)
MTsc PDP is program where TSC staff coaches will be providing technical skills training by professionals on a weekly basis. MTsc’s Premier Development Program (PDP) targets youth players who want advanced training and higher development opportunities.
PDP emphasizes skill development, rejects winning as a success criterion, delays teaching of complex strategy, rejects strict field positioning, and is meant for players of all abilities. The approach will come through positive coaching that will build self-esteem, confidence, skills and a true love and passion for the game. TSC staff follow the Positive Coaching Alliance principles.

PDP Frequently Asked Questions
How is this different that the training provided by my recreational coach?
Players on recreational or Friendship Teams will normally have a volunteer coach. For players that want additional advanced training by professional, paid trainers, PDP is an excellent opportunity to supplement the practices of your recreational coach.
Who's eligible?
ALL players (regardless of ability) through U12 who want further professional skills training. MTsc registered players get a discount for joining PDP. PDP is also available for all players in Northeastern Oklahoma but the registration costs are higher.
Who oversees PDP and who will be conducting the training?
Mark McIntosh is the PDP Director in charge of the training and PDP curriculum. Mark McIntosh is well known in the Tulsa soccer community as one of the leading trainers in the state. Mark played professionally for the Tulsa Ambush (NPSL) and was a standout at the University of Milwaukee-Wisconsin while under the guidance of then US National Team coach Bob Gansler. Mark has years of extensive coaching experience at the youth levels and has assembled an exciting staff for the PDP training. The professional skills trainers will come from TSC. TSC is MTsc's championship competitive program. John Crouch, TSC Academy Director, works with Mark McIntosh on PDP.
What will the training be focused on?
TSC coaches follow a specific curriculum during training sessions. All essential skills are introduced and periodically revisited in a logical and progressive pattern. TSC Coaches will not only focus on the technical aspects of training but also the "mental" aspects and understanding of the game.
Coaches will focus on these areas:
Having FUN
Technical
Control/First Touch, Dribbling, Passing, Shooting, Heading
Knowledge/Mental
Rules and Knowledge of the game, Attitude, Concentration
(Advanced Technical or Tactical focus is not a focus in PDP but rather are learned and reinforced at the next levels in the TSC Academy.)

Can players participate individually or as a "team"?
Players should register INDIVIDUALLY and training is conducted in groups. Teams are welcome to register but players will be placed in groups based on age and ability rather than by "team".
How and when do I register?
Register on-line at metrotulsasoccer.com at the same time as you register for Friendship League/Recreational season. There is a one-time fee that is paid at time of registration that covers the entire season.
What is the cost?
$60 each season
Can I still participate in Friendship or Recreational League?
PDP players can continue to participate in their Recreational or Friendship Leagues.
Can I get additional training beyond what PDP provides?
Yes. TSC coaches are also available for private training. Contact the coaches at PDP for more information. MTsc also offers youth soccer camps conducted by the University of Tulsa - Mac's National Soccer School which are held during the summer. Check metrotulsasoccer.com for dates and more information.
How is PDP different than the TSC Academy?
If your child is ready for the next level, MTsc's TSC provides the TSC Academy for advanced players in a team environment. Players in the TSC Academy generally do not participate in the Friendship or Recreational Leagues and have more frequent and intense training sessions. TSC Academy squads normally play in more advanced leagues or games designed for Academy (pre-competitive) players. The cost is also higher. Parents should contact the appopriate coach for consultation. See TSC Academy for more information.
Our Coaching Staff is available for extra private training! Please contact any staff to set up private sessions.
Coaching Philosophies
Our organization is committed to the principles of Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA) and against a "win-at-all-cost" mentality. PCA calls a Positive Coach a "Double-Goal Coach." A win-at-all-cost coach has only one goal -- to win. A Positive Coach shares that goal (wants to win) but has a second goal that is even more important -- to use the sports experience to help young people learn "life lessons" and positive character traits that will help them be successful in the game of life. John Crouch is a certified instructor for the Positive Coaching Alliance and holds sessions for the PDP coaches. Players will not only enjoy excellent soccer training, but they will also learn it in a fun and positive environment.
